Stroke Warning Signs: BE FAST

Follow the simple acronym, “BE FAST,” and take swift action to get medical help if you or a loved one experience the following signs of a stroke:

B: Balance loss: Sudden loss of balance or trouble walking
E: Eye problems: Blurred vision, double vision or loss of vision in one eye
F: Facial drooping: One side of the face may droop or feel numb
A: Arm weakness: Weakness or numbness in one arm
S: Speech difficulty: Slurred speech, trouble understanding words or inability to speak
T: Time is critical: Call emergency services immediately if you or someone you know experiences any of these symptoms
