Connecting with a family physician you trust is important for your peace of mind. But when an emergency happens, you require immediate attention from an emergency room physician you may not know. Our goal is to ease your anxiety by providing a deeply committed care team that’s undergone rigorous training, so we can care for your condition, no matter what it is.

CT scan findings help us make rapid stroke diagnoses to rule out intracranial hemorrhage (ICH).

Advanced Technology for Immediate Heart Care

During a cardiac emergency, every second counts. In our heart catheterization laboratory, we have the tools to evaluate heart health and find blockages quickly.

Electrocardiogram (EKG) Technology

Using electrodes connected to a computer monitor, we can record the heart’s electrical activity and identify an abnormal heart rate or rhythm.

Electronic Visit Documentation

Notes from your visit will be available to you electronically, so you, your caregiver and your providers can access them anytime, anywhere.

Inter-Hospital Transfers

When one of our ERs is at capacity, our UChicago Medicine AdventHealth emergency teams will coordinate to find you the emergency attention you need once your medical condition has been stabilized.
